Salvia divinorum is a psycho-active herb that is used in a variety of vision questions, meditations, and healing arts performed by the Mazatec shamens in Mexico. The herb name translates as diviners sage, and is used traditionally in healing and divination.

What makes salvia popular is its concentration of Salvinorin A, a very potent molecule with hallucinogenic effects. This unusual molecule makes salvia divinorum a very powerful naturally-occurring hallucinogen, as opposed to synthetic hallucinogens such as LSD found in several street drugs.

It was discovered by the modern world when Jean Basset Johnson was studying the Mazatec shamens in 1939, where he published information on salvia as part of his research. However, the hallucinogenic effects were not fully explored by Daniel Siebert many years later.

Salvia divinorum induces a hallucinogenic state, causing you to see vivid imagery, but unlike synthetic hallucinogens, it affects all of your senses, not just vision. This might range anywhere from a complete psychedelic experience (such as travelling to other dimensions) to very mild experiences (such as feeling extremely relaxed and seeing your couch dance in front of you).

Other usual effects when smoking salvia include:

Out-of-body experiences

Happiness and the desire to laugh excessively

Visualizing ghosts and other supernatural creatures

Feelings of being joined with the universe

observing events from the past and future

Depending on the user and the concentration of the salvia, the experience can range anywhere from a few minutes to over an hour. How you use salvia divinorum is also a major factor in determining the length of the experience (smoking salvia is the most common method however).

It might come as a surprise, but yes salvia is legal. Salvia is not classified as a drug or controlled substance. Countries and states have raised concerns about salvia, however it has not yet been declared dangerous nor is it banned in any country in the world. You can be assured that you will not face any trouble with the law if you smoke salvia.

Animals have been dying out all over the world for many different reasons. However what is the main key between lots of these creatures becoming extinct. To be honest we are the problem!

An endangered species is a term used to describe a species whose numbers have become so low it is at risk of becoming extinct. We cannot stop evolutionary change, so of course some animals will change and become extinct. However we are to blame for a lot of things. The Safari was just used as a hunting expedition, it was designed for those that had a lot of money and high stature. The animals were hunted down and killed, because of this there are few of them left in the world.

We do not hunt all that many animals now as we did say a hundred years ago (mainly because they are all gone). But you cant hunt any of these animals any more, because they are protected by law. Now instead of hunting them and killing them we are trying to save them. Safari is the best way to get people on side, or to teach them about some of the problems in the world. Diving holidays have become very popular in the eyes of many governments to try and the marine life before it gets to even worse stages.

Pollution is proving to be another major problem; we may not be shooting these animals anymore. And although we are not hurting these animals directly, our actions with burning fuels, are causing climate change to affect them. We need to start showing people what they can do to help save the planet, yet enjoy themselves at the same time. Kenya safari holidays are a great way to have fun and see the world.

If you really think about it, you will understand that we are the main cause!

An endangered species is a term used to describe a species whose numbers have become so low it is at risk of becoming extinct. We cannot stop evolutionary change, so of course some animals will change and become extinct. We are the cause of a lot of these problems. Safaris were originally designed to be Campaigns were people with a bit of cash could go and hunt some bug animals. All the animals that have been hunted an killed and now at the brink of extinction.

We do not hunt all that many animals now as we did say a hundred years ago (mainly because they are all gone). All of the endangered species like the Tiger, Lion and Rhino are all protected.

We are however slowly damaging there health and changing their surrounding climates. Some people don’t even know that a safari is more than just a holiday, its a massive experience. Kenya safari holidays are a great way to have fun and see the world.

This stunning and varied national park is not only huge, it is also very beautiful. This land is located up in the north west section of Tanzania. People come to the Serengeti just to marvel at it’s land, animals and general beauty. In order to really know what the Serengeti is all about, we need to look at some of the most important and famous parts of this place.

The word Serengeti is actually derived from the Maasai language meaning endless plains. The Maasai were a very strong and respected people that populated the Serengeti and when Europeans first visited these lands, they left the animals alone in the Serengeti to avoid aggravating the local people. The well named Serengeti is well suited to its literal meaning, because it spans an area of around thirty thousand kilometres squared.

The main event that the Serengeti is famous for is the Circular Migration. From July to early October is the time span in which this Circular migration travels. There are about two million herbivores that will move on up through the Serengeti and pass through the Mara River, trying to catch the rains that can support them with water and food. They continue up into the Masai Mara reserve, a popular destination for Kenya holidays and safaris.

The Serengeti also has its very own active volcano called Ol Doinyo Lengai. This Volcano still erupts spewing up and up massive clouds of ash that solidifies on the ground and prevents plant growth`. Tanzania is also famous for its 550 or so Avifauna, or its bird species.

If you are interested in going on a safari, this is one of the places that should be at the top of your list. Some people may want to see the Circular Migration, so you need to try and arrive at the ideal times, being august and September.

So why dont you leave home and embark on an adventure on Tanzania holidays or Zambia holidays, you wont be at all disappointed.

Since the world started to realise the damage being done to the planet, this question has been around. The coral reefs will all soon be gone, but why are they dissappearing? There are some reasons that everybody knows as to why the coral reefs are dying and some that arent so obvious.

Interestingly the Caribbean contains just over 20% of the worlds coral reef and there is a huge amount of damage being done to it. Honduras is a place where they grow several different plantains including bananas, these require a lot of fertilizer. The fertilizer has nutrients that prevent coral growth and are deadly to fish. Fertilizer and erosion are the two biggest culprits for damage to the coral reef in this area and they are both caused by farming, tree felling and building of new properties. The fish in the ocean are key to the survival of the coral reefs, although a lot of people dont really know this. The fish act like the corals personal grooming kit, they remove bacteria from the coral keeping it clean and healthy, they also eat the surrounding seaweed making sure oxygen levels stay up in the sea.

Apparently fish have dropped in population rates by around 70-95%, a massive fall. Fishing too much isn’t just detremental to our food supply; it is decreasing the corals chance to survive.

Another problem is an obvious one, Global Warming. This is the Biggy, global warming rises acid levels in the sea and reduces the levels of Aragonite in the ocean. This is a carbonate mineral that coral requires to stay alive and even begin growth. In 40 years the acid levels in the sea will reach such high levels, the coral wont be able to survive the conditions.

However there are few things that we can do to try and help. There are some proactive schemes around that allow us to get are hands dirty and have a good time. If you do go on luxury holidays or Caribbean holidays you could have the option to go and volunteer for a coral clean up operation, where you can help clean coral underwater or on the shore. You can do your part to save the coral reef and you can enjoy yourself as well.

Also if you go fishing around coral, try not to drop anchor, you will tear the coral apart and damage anything living around it

So if your thinking about going abroad or maybe somewhere tropical, maybe some of you want to have weddings abroad, it might be a good idea to get there as soon as you can. And if you want to help you could take part with some professional divers for an afternoon and clean the coral, it wont be long before its all gone.

All over the planet areas are atarting to get hotter and hotter. So if the world is getting warmer, then the original ideas for going to the Caribbean for a sunny hot holiday are being dismissed. Even in the south of England the sun prevails over the beaches and wards off the clouds.

In any case, is there other reasons for us to visit these places for our Caribbean holidays, or should we just enjoy a cheaper, maybe just as warm holiday closer to home. Global warming has been having increased effects on our world since we started burning fossil fuels; one slight advantage was that the cooler places on the planet have seen a rise in temperature. A big problem with the effects of global warming is that they are changing the environment at a faster rate than we anticipated. The changes in temperature between the atmosphere and the temperature from the ground created by us, have helped exacerbate the problems the Hurricanes present us with. These storms are damaging not only to us but also to the surrounding environment. Tobago holidays will suffer because they rely heavily on Scuba diving tours.

Now it might be getting warmer at home, but in the Caribbean it is heating up as well, and they will be suffering from other increased environmental disturbances like hurricanes or mesoscale connective systems. These Mesoscale systems are a connection of rain, thunder and lightening, all in a line and are very rare, but becoming more likely and more deadly. Relatively soon these areas are going to be changing rapidly, so heading to these destinations is of importance because in some cases you may not be able to visit there later in life. If you can still go there, you wont be able to experience the same Caribbean life that you could now. Across the world the coral reef and the great barrier reef is fading away, but this isn’t the only problem, marine life is dying to. Some of the places that may have large populations like, Barbados or Cuba will have culture changes because of the change of the environment. So not only will we losing the environment we could lose some cultures along with it.

Popular destinations to get married like St Lucia holidays will slowly decline and this magnificent island will lose its tourism trade.

In Honduras where pineapple, banana and sugar cane plantains are so wide spread, fertilizer is being used in heavy amounts. The fertilizer has nutrients that prevent coral growth and are deadly to fish. The farms in this area leak pesticides and fertilizer into the ocean, this damages the coral reef sometimes beyond repair. The fish in the ocean are key to the survival of the coral reefs, although a lot of people dont really know this. Fish provide coral with the necessary grooming that it needs, this takes off bacteria that damage the coral and keep it clean, they also eat seaweed, and seaweed suffocates coral and any other plants around it by drawing in all the oxygen.

Apparently fish have dropped in population rates by around 70-95%, a massive fall. When we remove fish from the sea in massive amounts, we are removing a vital part of the corals survival.

Another problem is an obvious one, Global Warming. This is the deadliest one though, global warming helped along the way by everyone and depletes the amount or Aragonite in the ocean. This is a carbonate mineral that coral requires to stay alive and even begin growth. According to some people the acid levels in the sea will be so high in about 40 years, coral will stop growing.

However there are few things that we can do to try and help. There are ventures to help the coral that we can take part in and have a good time while we do it. If you do go on luxury holidays or Caribbean holidays you could have the option to go and volunteer for a coral clean up operation, where you can help clean coral underwater or on the shore. This would have to be some of the best volunteer work you could, diving with the fish and doing your bit.

Also if you go fishing around coral, try not to drop anchor, you will tear the coral apart and damage anything living around it

So if your thinking about going abroad or maybe somewhere tropical, maybe some of you want to have weddings abroad, it might be a good idea to get there as soon as you can. If you want you could chip in with the divers and help the coral survive, you never know how much longer it will be around.

Year after year, everywhere around the world is getting warmer and warmer. So if the world is getting warmer, then the original ideas for going to the Caribbean for a sunny hot holiday are being dismissed. The Sun is prevailing over the clouds right along the south coast of England.

Moving on into the future it will be hard to predict what the Caribbean will look like and you might find it is a very different place, probably too hot to stay for to long. Across the world the coral reef and the great barrier reef is fading away, but this isn’t the only problem, marine life is dying to. Cultures will be massively effected by the shift in the global climate and environment. Cultures are going to be damaged by the changes in the environment and so will tourism.

Popular destinations to get married like St Lucia holidays will slowly decline and this magnificent island will lose its tourism trade.

Places around the world have suffered from increased Hurricane activity which is actually caused by the mixture of hot air rising and the condensed water evaporating.

Even if you can still make it to the Caribbean in the future, it will be a very different place to what it is today. Marine life is suffering most from the effects of global warming, and the Caribbean is not the only place affected by all this. We will start to see a drop in the variants in different cultures, this is because they will start to disappear, mainly because they will have to change their routine with the changes in the climate. So not only will we losing the environment we could lose some cultures along with it.

Popular destinations to get married like St Lucia holidays will slowly decline and this magnificent island will lose its tourism trade.
