Well many of them do dispose of their waste when they get back to port, sensibly and cleanly. Many however have been dumping their waste in the sea. All of the waste being produced by these monsters are too much for them to hold, they now have to dump it in the ocean. This dumping is unacceptable if we want to keep the oceans in clean areas like the Caribbean clean. Around 2003 these ships were creating about thirty thousand gallons of sewage each day. There is not another new study to show the increase of this today.

However this isnt the main problem. The biggest issue is the air pollution that these cruise liners create. The engines that thee liners use are of massive proportion, they burn great amounts of diesel that releases harmful dioxides into the air. When a study was performed over ten years from 1991 to 2001 it showed that the British alone purchased 400 percent more cruises at the end of the 10 year period. There is not telling how many people will be going on cruises in the next ten years. St Lucia holidays have become very popular, the St Lucian government has even banned some cruise liners from entering its waters.

One thing is for sure though, either we find a new way to power these Cruise ships or we are going to have to forget about them altogether. If youre thinking of going on Barbados holidays or having weddings abroad, then think quickly before the Caribbean is just another victim of pollution. How long will it be before we cant visit the Caribbean just because it has been so badly damaged.

Over a 10 year period from 1991 to 2001 the amount of cruises bought just in the UK rose from 193,000 to 776,000. These numbers will continue to rise, there will be no telling how many people go on a cruise in twenty years time. St Lucia holidays have become very popular, the St Lucian government has even banned some cruise liners from entering its waters.

One thing is for sure though, either we find a new way to power these Cruise ships or we are going to have to forget about them altogether. Whats better than going to the beach and having a good swim? Getting your heart to work hard is why swimming is great, all your muscles work together to get the body moving, you can get a strong heart beat too. Your heart will work harder when you are swimming, this is great because you get a good bit of exercise, and because your having fun you don’t even realise. Coupled with swimming in the sea is the sea water itself, sea water is very good for your skin. Permanent scars and acne can be cleared up with the high salt levels in the sea.

The sun is also good for your skin (in small doses). The rays of the sun supply our skin with vitamin D and it has been shown this helps fight skin cancer and could help prevent multiple sclerosis.

If anything the one thing we can all agree on (as long as you have a good holiday) is that holidays are best for reducing stress levels. Medical problems can be caused by stress, you could have a heart attack or develop skin diseases. Making sure that you dont get too stressed, will help reduce chances of medical problems. Being able to go on luxury holidays by the beach will relieve stress will help you to clear your head as well.

Now for the bad points, lets say you were looking at Caribbean holidays for example. You cant help it, at some point you will be on a beach. The sun is going to be following you wherever you go. In high amounts the sun wont be very good for you, some of us will know what it can do. We have all been there, stayed in the sun too long and noticed we are shedding skin or glowing lobster red, the skin is just getting cooked.

In recent studies it has been shown that the sea air isnt actually that brilliant for you. Usually the sea air is very clean, and in most cases is than anywhere else, but it does have some nasty substances in it. Try not to get to worried its not as bad as it sounds. Over and around the sea is a substance called DMS (dimethyl sulphide), its released by animals and plants in the sea and irritates the eyes and mucous membranes (nose), and it is also that smell you detect when you are near the sea. The sun helps to remove another substance that was discovered called nitryl choliride, this affects our breathing.

So are beach holidays good for you? If you make sure that you take care of yourself, then these holidays are great for you, relieving stress is key. Is this all really enough to prevent abyone going to the sea, the bad points aren’t strong enough. So if you planning weddings abroad then go for it, swim in the sea and enjoy the sun.
