Whilst air conditioners can be great in when it’s very hot, they’re not an eco-friendly invention. They consume a large amount of energy and produce high carbon emissions.

In recent years however, efforts have been made to produce air conditioning units that are friendlier to the environment. A good example of this is the Cool Phase system, which is made of natural materials and is said to consume less energy and reduce CO2.

The system saves approx. 800kg of CO2 p/a and is doesn’t contain any refrigerants that have a negative impact on the ozone layer. The materials used to built the unit are natural and fully compostable, making them recyclable at the end of their life cycle. This is a huge step forward for the air conditioning industry; demonstrating how we can continue to be comfortable without having to do such a considerable amount of damage to the environment.

Consumers will also be pleased to hear of the financial benefits of the system, which costs as little at 10p per day to run and even lets you fit the replacement filters yourself, saving you the cost of an engineer callout. The systems also hold heat during the day, that has been recovered from the sun. The units then store this power overnight, meaning they take very little additional energy to power the following morning. This will not only drastically reduce the running costs of the system, but will also make the unit more environmentally friendly.

Many major air conditioning companies are now trying to follow this example, with both Daikin air conditioning and Toshiba air conditioning now putting an increased emphasis on production of eco-friendly units.

If you’re willing to spend the time doing some research and shopping around, you’ll be able to find air conditioning units that are not only friendly to the environment but are much less expensive to run. So if you’re trying to stay cool at the home or office, an air conditioning unit might be more affordable than you think.

With today’s society it’s hard to know what you can and cannot trust as far as environmentally sound items go, my main focus on this blog is using Compatible Toner to save money and help the environment but there are many other issues. We have the new hybrid that is supposed to be eco friendly yet it still uses gas. They have the new flexfuel out there that is supposed to be healthier for the environment but is only saving about 3% of the toxins in the air. Maybe this article will help you learn about some environment issues in countries around the world.

The first subject that we’ll discuss has to do with problems that are health related. Scientists have linked many other health related problems to pollutants. Our air is thin and it’s certainly not getting any thicker. Our ozone layer gets thinner the more we harm Mother Nature. Our children will have a less chance of having a healthy, fruitful, life and disease will only continue to develop. Chemical dumping is a huge problem we have. Ships go out to the middle of the ocean to dump tubs of chemical waste, even though it is highly illegal. Researchers have discovered that chemical dumping, in the environment, has an unknown effect on so many people’s long term health. We look at these chemicals around the house and think nothing of them but when you mix two chemicals together, like bleach and ammonia, you create a very deadly gas.

Another point I’d like to make is that air pollution consists of various types of chemicals and gases being passed into our atmosphere. Burning that “eco friendly” car doesn’t do as much good as you realize. Even making a simple phone call on your cellular device can cause harmful rays to the ozone layer. Studies have shown that it’s healthier for the environment to text someone further away than close. Read up about going green, embrace the different ways that reduce air pollution. Teach your children about these issues, it is their future. Letting them know about the harm doing certain things or driving a car can impact on our environment.

One last point we need to touch on may not seem like a big deal to America but if you turn over your favorite remote or cell phone and read, “made in china” written on it you might think again. Chinese Drywall is mainly in Asian countries, yes, but it is slowly making its way to the Americas. Chinese Drywall seems to be linked to some serious health issues. Phosphogypsum is the main ingredient in Chinese Drywall. Seeing the effects this very common building tool can do to a home is incredible. Check out chinesedrywall.com and learn more. Chinese Dry wall continues with input from multiple organizations and will eventually hit the states.

In conclusion the environment is our friend and should be treated as such. We need to make sure that what we have won’t be taken away from us and will be able to be a gift to our children. This article should have enlightened you, at least a little, on the importance of keeping our earth green. See how you can help with little things – check this article How to refill toner. But most of all try to watch how you treat Mother Nature, you never know when she’ll fight back.
