This years UC Davis Western Cooling Challenge winner has been announced as the denver based company, Coolerado Corp. The UC Davis challenge was designed to help manufacturers design better dehumidifiers and for customers to get the latest information about them.
Coolerado were announced winners after federal tests came back about their entry, the H-80 five ton commercial rooftop cooling system. (more…)
Over the years there has been a huge amount of speculation as to whether the popular patio heater damages the environment. Some people say that a patio heater is as bad for the environment as a 4×4 car, but is that true?

In the UK the year round weather is so blighted by rain and clouds – but the population got a well deserved break recently with some thermometer busting conditions. The last week of June this year saw UK temperatures soar to a reported 35 degrees Celsius (or 95 in Fahrenheit), the warmest since 2006. It was also the hottest temperature in June for many years – the average for June is 19-22 degrees Celcius (66-72F). (more…)
